Wilkinson (London) .70 caliber percussion howdah pistol. Made circa 1860, features include 8.5-inch Damascus barrels (.865-inch muzzle diameter, .700-inch bore diameter, bead), hammer safeties and a trapdoor grip cap. Weight is 3.0 pounds. No case is present. CONDITION: Bores have browned and some modest roughness. Mechanics are solid. Brown is approximately 60 percent, colors are approximately 20 percent, polished blue is approximately 20 percent with tarnish and niter is approximately 40 percent. The grip cap is slightly lose (turns). The price is firm and layaway is available. $4,500 plus shipping.
