Payment Types Accepted: certified check, postal m.o. Description: This is a Winchester Model 1873, made in 1883. It has survived in very fine, high condition. It is a .38 cal ( 38-40 ) with a 24" round barrel with an excellent, bright shiny bore. The rifle has seen very light use and is in excellent mechanical condition, the lever is positive, the hammer is positive at half and full cock. The dust cover closes with a nice , very slight snap. The hammer still shows some fading case colors, the lever has mostly darkened with just a touch of color in protected areas. The blueing is strong, with some nice deep color in more protected areas, but with a fine, even very light freckling over much of the finish. The wood is solid and tight, never sanded, just showing light scattered marks and minor scratches. The original cleaning rods are included. I haven't done any cleaning to this rifle other than running a patch down the bore. Pics were taken with the finish dry as possible to show imperfections, a little wax and gentle polishing will make this rifle really stand out. ***** This is an antique and can ship directly to the buyer in Most states, some , NJ and other areas still require a FFL. I am a FFL and must comply with all laws. I require that the buyer can legally own a firearm. ***** Price: $5,200.00 Antique: Yes Rifle Caliber: .38-40 Winchester Manufacturer: Winchester Model: 1873 Serial Number: 133125 Barrel Length: 24 Bore Condition: excellent Manufacture Date: 1883 |
