Description
For sale is a classic Remington Model 11 in 16 gauge, America’s first autoloading shotgun built under the Browning patent. This example features a 30" barrel, factory-marked for 2 3/4" shells, with the classic pheasant engraving on the receiver.
The wood retains a good original finish with scattered field wear and handling marks, but no cracks. Checkering is still sharp. The forearm is solid with no splits. Metal retains a mix of original blue and patina, very typical for a well-loved but maintained field gun.
Mechanically, the shotgun functions correctly with a smooth action and solid lockup. The recoil pad is the original serrated Remington plate — uncommon to still see intact.
A perfect upland hunting gun, cowboy action-style semi-auto, or classic Remington collector piece.
