Description:
For your consideration, the Colt Official Police revolver chambered in .38 Special. Initially known as the Army Special these were manufactured in the early 1900s for military use, however after World War 1, the 1911 became favored by the military and Colt marketed the revolver to law enforcement and changed the name to Official Police, which had minor differences. This model is a Post-War model, manufactured in 1949, it features the blued finish (which started back up after the war). It also has "Coltwood" grips which were made for war use, but continued to be used up until 1954. Please be sure to carefully review all photos provided to fully understand the condition of this firearm before purchasing. This firearm is being offered by the Boise Cabela's Gun Library.
