Made at State Arsenal 416 in Jing’an, Shanghai in 1985 at the triangle 16 factory, so this is NOT a commercial Chinese SKS - it is an original People's Liberation Army surplus Type 56 military carbine that was laundered through Norinco & imported into the USA as a commercial sporting rifle. The 20.5-inch barrel has a bright chrome bore with strong visible rifling. Features a late production milled receiver, a pinned barrel, a late rear sight base, a 2-piece late production gas cylinder & a stamped trigger group. Import marked on the barrel. Comes with a 17-inch cleaning rod, 12-inch folding cruciform bayonet, extended 20-round magazine, rubber butt pad & black nylon sling.
