Description:

Standard configuration Russian Military Makarov, dated 1961, with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Full SN on left side of slide. The SN, Izhevsk Arsenal, and "1961" production year on left side of the frame. Early, plum toned safety with matching "2556". Import marked on right side of frame. Two early Russian magazines, both reworked to have electropenciled-matching serial numbers: one with "2556-1" marked on left side of magazine body, the other "2556-2" marked on spine. Single piece reddish maroon bakelite grip with two checkered panels impressed with encircled 5 pointed star and fixed lanyard loop.

Condition:

99% bright original salt blue with handling marks as imaged. Comparable condition grip. VG+ reworked magazines, each with their original number on the spine having been crossed off, now with electropenciled numbers. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics with both magazines.
