For sale is a rare Winchester model 70 Transitional rifle. These were made during the years 1946 to 1948 making them one of the rarer model 70's.
This 270 rifle is all original including it's steel buttplate and unique "clam-shaped" safety only found on the transitional models.. Included is a period correct early Leupold Mountaineer 4x scope from the 50's making it an early period correct rig which is usable even today. The rear sight was removed to make room for the scope but that will accompany the rifle. The wood is dark with only a few knicks and handlling marks. The original blueing is very nice as well. This rifle in in excellent overall condition and would make an excellent addition to your model 70 collection or perform well in the field as it is quite accurate and reliable. Please no sales to CA.
