Bowler Hat Classics is a new company but the owner is a tried and true metal finisher that has developed all of the historical finishes but is ONLY DOING THIS NEW MODERN FINISH.
You know who he is but can't use his last name do to legal agreement.
This new finish work extremely well with modern steel as it will not harden or change the molecular structure of the steel.
Very controllable results unlike the bone charcoal process that I truly understand from close to 40 years of finishing old as well as new firearms. This includes Smith N Wesson, USFA, Browning, Remington, Ruger, Marlin to name a few.
That finish (bone charcoal) is designed for historical finishes or for that look on modern firearms that you want the old look, the Only way to active that look, feel, finish.
