Payment Types Accepted: Description: Beautiful German drilling shotgun rifle that chambers 16 gauge shells and 8x57 cartridge. Exquisite wood stock with excellent figure was made by Master Gunstock maker Bill McGuire of Wenatchee, WA. Both the gun receiver and barrel have serial number markings of 634. Barrel is covered in other proof marks and stampings that indicate the barrels are marked “KRUPP STAHL,” indicating quality steel barrels. This drilling features a flip-up rear sight, tang selector for the rifle barrel, double triggers, and gold cocked indicators just like those on a Greifelt & Co. The bore condition is perfect on all barrels; mechanics are smooth and functional, and the engraving is extraordinary, as is the case coloring receiver. No import marks are present and no handling marks are found so fun is like new. I am no expert on German drilling rifles and can't determine the actual year of manufacture nor who the manufacturer was and it is only my guess based on similarities that it is a Greifelt. By the serial number is a GFZ marking which could indicate the manufacturer was Gebrüder Krüger or Gebrüder Merkel. Previous owners appear to have had their names stamped onto the top of the barrels which read "M. Gladbach" and "Arthur von Jssen".
