Manufactured from 1886 to 1889 Total quantity about 25,000.
Rare Antique J. Stevens No. 43 First Issue Pistol - Single shot chambered for .22 short or long rimfire cartridges – 6” long Blue barrel - part round and part octagon , that pivots upward for loading . Features an external hammer and spur trigger. It has a brass frame , nickel plated finish semi-circular side plate with the firing pin and bushing mounted in the frame. Square butt walnut grips.
Despite its age, this Pistol is in very good mechanical condition and has been well-maintained over the years. It's a true collector's item that's also functional in very good condition with minor wear and tear consistent with age.

Condition: Serial number 16785 – frame, barrel, are all matching, Grips are excellent, original factory finish with minimal wear marks. — Blued barrel still has most of the blue finish remaining. — Frame retains about 98% of the original nickel finish and in very good condition — Barrel lockup is tight. Hammer and trigger work very well – bright shiny bore showing strong rifling. — overall condition is very good. Dovetailed U-notch Conlin-style rear sight and oversized front blade sight . 2 line barrel address remains crisp. Please judge for yourself from the photos.
