Most are aware the Winchester Model 21 is a gun of superior strength. If you like heavy loads for tough birds or high-volume shooting, this is your gun.  You can shoot the heaviest magnum 3” shells in a Model 21 with no concerns.  With the chokes on this gun, you can shoot steel or other, MORE EFFECTIVE, hard non-toxic shot like tungsten or Hevi-Shot.  From 1930 to 1943 they only made 1900 20-gauge guns in all grades, most of them Standard Grades or Skeet Grades.  The Trap Grade was only produced from 1933 to 1939, making this Trap Grade a real find, with likely less than 300 ever made, additionally this Winchester Model 21 matches its factory specifications on its Cody Letter. The 26” barrels have mirror bores with a little wear around the muzzle on the bluing from going in and out of the case.  The matte solid rib has silver mid and front beads.  The finish on all the remaining metal parts show little to no sign of handling or wear.  The star of this show is the highly figured American Walnut beavertail forend and buttstock.  The bordered checkering is expertly cut in a kidney pattern on the forend, and a point pattern on the side panel, which follows down the pistol grip.  The stock terminates with a nice Pachmayr pad.  Earning their reputation, Winchester Model 21’s have continued to perform in the field, on the clays course, and as an investment; standing the test of time.
