Description:
Smith & Wesson Model 29-3 Elmer Keith Commemorative chambered in .44 Magnum. The Smith & Wesson Model 29 is a six-shot, double-action revolver. This revolver has a 4-inch barrel with a bright bore. It has a blued finish, a target hammer, and a target trigger. It has a ramp front sight with an orange insert and a white outline adjustable square notch rear sight. It has smooth walnut grips with S&W Medallion. The markings include the following: The left side of the barrel is marked "SMITH & WESSON / 44 Magnum" in gold; the right is marked "ELMER KEITH COMMEMORATIVE", "44 MAGNUM", and "1899-1984" in gold on a banner. The left side of the frame is marked with S&W's monogram logo. "1 OF 2,500" is marked in gold under the cylinder on the left. The right is marked with the four-line Marcas Registradas. The right-side plate is marked with a portrait of Elmer Keith and his signature in gold. The cylinder is marked "1ST" "OUTSTANDING / HANDGUNNER" and "SALMON / IDAHO" in gold, meant to be displayed on the right and "" HELL I WAS / THERE" and "" SIXGUNS"" in gold, meant to be displayed on the left. It includes a hardwood presentation. The revolver is in excellent condition with a very slight cylinder ring. The presentation box has a few handling marks and is missing the "Elmer Keith Commemorative" brass plaque on the lid. .44 Magnum
