Description:
Colt NRA Centennial Commemorative SAA .357 Magnum. This Single Action Army 2nd Generation was manufactured in 1971 to commemorate the 100th year of the NRA. It is a 6-Shot Single Action Revolver with Side Loading Gate Cylinder. The markings are: The right side of the barrel is marked "COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY .357 MAGNUM". The top of the barrel is marked "COLT'S PT. F. A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD CT. U.S.A.". The left of the barrel is marked "1871 NRA Centennial 1971". The left side of the frame is marked "PAT. SEPT. 19, 1871 / JULY 2,72 JAN. 19,75" and with the rampant colt logo. It has a 7 1/2-inch barrel. The front sight is a quarter-circle blade. The rear sight is a square groove in the top strap. The grips are two-piece smooth walnut panels with gold NRA medallions at their tops. The bore is bright, and the rifling is sharp. This revolver comes in a locking wood presentation case with a yellow velvet interior. The lid has a clear square in the center with an NRA centennial medallion mounted in it and a Colt medallion at the right-front. The exterior of the case has some scattered light nicks and scratches; the interior has faint wear from the revolver. .357 Magnum
