Description:
This is a Spreewerke P38 without a COG hammer. The left side of the slide is marked "P.38", "cyq" and "6767 a". The left side of the frame is marked "6767 a" and an "Eagle / 88" Waffenamt. The left barrel flat is marked with an "Eagle / 88". The front barrel flat is marked "6767 / a". The right barrel flat is marked "B 16". The bottom of the locking block is marked "767 / a", the right side is marked with an "Eagle / 88" and the left side is marked with an Eagle Swastika. The right side of the slide is marked with two "Eagle / 88" Waffenamts, with an Eagle Swastika in the center. The front sight is a dovetailed blade marked "+" on the right. The rear sight is a "U"-notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide. The grips are "AEG" with the top circles on both unreadable, but would have been marked "38 / Z3". The bottom circle on the left grip is marked "p / 1529 / 2" and the right bottom circle is marked "p / 1528 / 2". The 8 round magazine is unmarked. 9mm Parabellum
