The left side of the frame is marked "1225a" and an "Eagle / 88" Waffenamt. The left barrel flat is marked with an "Eagle / 88" and "CYQ". The front barrel flat is marked "a1225". The right barrel flat is marked "B q?". The bottom of the locking block is marked "225 / a", the right side is marked with an "Eagle / 88" and the left side is marked with an Eagle Swastika. The right side of the slide is marked with two "Eagle / 88" Waffenamts, with an Eagle Swastika in the center. The front sight is a dovetailed blade marked "+" on the left. The rear sight is a "U"-notch dovetailed to the rear of the slide. The left grip is an "AEG" with the top circle marked "38 / Z3" and both bottom circle marked "p / 1529 /7". The right grip is a "Posselt" with the top circle marked "1W / 37" and the bottom circle marked with a "6". The 8 round magazine is marked "P 38 U"on the left side.
