Description:
22 inch octagon barrel chambered in the very desirable 50-100-450 caliber. Bore has visible rifling with scattered roughness throughout. Sights include a Lyman hunting blade front with leaf rear and Lyman peep folding tang sight. Barrel is a brown patina and has some dings and scratches with traces of blue in the protected areas. Special ordered half length magazine. Receiver is a mottled gray with some light pitting. Hammer and lever have good traces of case colors. Very crisp tight action. Walnut stocks have scattered minor dings and scratches with a small crack by the toe with a special order steel shotgun buttplate. Comes with factory letter confirming the caliber and configuration. Manufactured in 1896. Letter also states that only 241 Model 1886 Winchesters were produced in 50-100-450 caliber. Your chance to add a seldom seen Winchester to your collection.
