Savage Arms Model 720 WW2 WWII Military Gunnery Trainer Shotgun not Trench or Riot.
Selling an extremely nice condition Savage Model 720 Military Gunnery Trainer shotgun from 1943-1944 WWII.
SAVAGE MODEL 720 WW2 shotguns are some of the scarcest U.S. military issued shotguns of WW2. They were used for Aerial Gunnery training. This SAVAGE Model 720 shotgun is in far better overall condition than the vast majority of Aerial Trainers with very good metal and wood finishes, showing only light wear. It has numerous "P" Proof marks on the receiver and barrel as well as Ordnance Department Flaming Bombs and U.S. marked on the receiver. The barrel also has four asterisks **** denoting a Cylinder Bore.
The U.S. Government needed these shotguns faster than SAVAGE could produce them, so some of these guns were obtained by the U.S. Government through civilian sources.
As you can see from the pictures, this Model 720 is in extremely great condition. Would be hard to improve on this one for your collection.
