Markings consist of "US Property," a faint Ordnance Dept. wheel, P proofs on slide and frame, and the F.J.A. cipher of Rochester Ordnance District Inspector, Col. Frank J Atwood. The slide shows evidence of spot heat treatment at the locking lug recesses and slide stop notch. This piece dates to 1944. .45 Auto
