This old timer would make a nice shooter. These were made 1933-1947.
Remarks:
* It shows minor loss of finish on high points, edges and at the muzzle..
* The right grip panel has a few flattened checkers as depicted in photo 7,
* There is some freckling (bluing flaked off leaving bright metal), particularly under the right grip panel.
* The magazine is two-tone and marked "Colt Woodsman CAL .22 L.R." There is some oxidation on the magazine floorplate.
* There is no damage to the breech face from dry firing and the bore is bright.
* There is a speckeling of dark pitting (?) on the right side of the slide and adjacent frame (also photo #7).
* There are some small bright scratches.
* There is a significant scrape on the front grip strap (see photo 11).
* The mainspring housing (that also serves as part of the rear grip strap) has a rectangular area that consists of a number of horizontal grooves (not checkering).
