Description:

Gorgeous 1924 Waffenfabrik Bern Luger pistol, cal. .30 Luger, the first Luger manufactured entirely in Switzerland, has a 4 5/8 inch barrel with fire blued front sight, blank chamber and front toggle link marked with the Swiss Cross overlying "WAFFENFABRIK BERN". The full serial number is on the forward frame and repeated under the barrel; the last two-three digits appearing on the sideplate, the trigger, bottom of receiver, breechblock, both toggle links, grip safety, and the inner surface of both checkered/bordered grips. Tinned body magazine with unmarked walnut plug secured by a fire-blued pin.

Condition:

EXC+ rust blue with the original machining marks readily apparent on both grip straps and the grip safety. Negligible sharp edge wear. Comparable condition strawed small parts, several likely enhanced. Crisp grips with sharp checkering, light staining. No cracks or noticeable losses. Magazine body re-tinned with excellent original follower and plug. Mirror-bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. A stunning Model 1924 Bern Luger, easily upgraded by the substitution of a better magazine!
