Synopsis:

Beautiful Swiss Military ZFK 55 Sniper Rifle made by the Bern Arsenal, all matching to include the scope and can, the scope with excellent optics. A wonderful find for the serious collector!

Description:

Standard configuration ZFK 31/55, one of approximately 5000 such rifles, an evolution of the K31 /42 and K31/43 sniper rifles, this one with telescopic sights, heavy barrel, flash suppressor/muzzle brake, and center-mounted foldable bipod. In addition to the standard K31 rear sight calibrated from 1-15, these guns were fitted with a quick detachable 3.5 power Kern telescopic sight, with serial numbering on top surface, whose reticle includes a thick central post with two thinner horizontal bars. The receiver has a Swiss “cross over chamber” with full serial number on left receiver and bolt. Matching barrel, magazine, scope, scope can (that includes the screw driver). Complete with unmarked military-style sling.

Condition:

Near EXC original blue with sharp edge wear and light handling marks except as concerns the bipod whose surface scuffing is consistent with the overall condition of the rifle. In-the-white parts are bright with minimal staining and magazine wear is negligible. Near EXC stock with a few superficial handling marks, no cracks or repairs, the acceptance stamp on the right side of the buttstock having broken through the finish. The buttplate is grey with impressions. Excellent original finish scope, can, and included screwdriver, the scope with comparably bright optics and correct manual adjustments. EXC sling with supple leather, light oil staining. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. A beautiful Swiss Bern K55 sniper rifle with a bright matching scope / can and a mirror bore!
