Classic turn-of-the-century Smith & Wesson top-break safety hammerless revolver in .38 S&W caliber, featuring the iconic grip safety mechanism that earned it the "Lemon Squeezer" nickname. This 5-shot revolver represents reliable American craftsmanship from the pre-WWI era. Standard configuration Smith & Wesson 5-Shot Top Break 38 Hammerless (cal: 38 S&W), nickel finish, made 1898-1907, with grip safety, with 4" barrel having Half Coin front sight and fixed rear sight. The top of the barrel with the two line Smith & Wesson address. Left side of the barrel marked "38 S. & W. CTG". Right side of the frame with the usual S&W Logo. Color case-hardened trigger. Full serial number on butt, cylinder, and rear sight/release latch. Fitted with black hard rubber grips with the Smith & Wesson logo and diamond around the screw. .38 S&W
