From the home of the Ruger Collectors Assc. here in Southport, CT comes this classic Ruger MK II M77 .30-06 Rifle. Serial number 781-60735. It is near new mounted with a fine Leupold Vari-X III 3x9 scope.
Based on Ruger’s official serial number history for the M77 Mark II series Ruger M77 Mark II rifles with serial numbers in the 781-xxxxx range were first made in 1993. This serial 781-60735 would place this rifle’s manufacture around 1993–1994 as part of that batch.
The M77 Mark II variant features a controlled-feed bolt action (an improvement Ruger introduced over earlier M77 patterns). In .30-06 Springfield, the M77 Mark II was a popular big game rifle option through the 1990s.
It is near new and probably just test fired and put away for years in a safe. It is mounted with a fine Leupold Vari-X III 3×9. That scope is widely regarded as a quality, durable optic — especially for hunting and general-purpose shooting. An fine Ruger M77 package ready to go out to shoot.
