Description:
Serial #68541, .32 Rim Fire, 2 ¼ inch octagon barrel with a good, bright bore with light scattered pitting. This is the "RED JACKET No. 3" revolver as marked on the barrel manufactured by "THE LEE ARMS COMPANY / WILKES-BARRE, PA" marked on the top strap and was produced circa 1877-1880 (the three years the company was in operation). In excellent condition the metal surface retain about 96-98% of the original nickel finish showing fine handling marks, scattered tiny flaking and a faint drag line on the cylinder. The rosewood grips rate near excellent showing light handling wear. It functions well mechanically holding at half and full cock. The cylinder release pin moves freely and is likely missing a spring. An overall excellent example of the neat little pocket spur trigger "suicide special" revolvers from a short lived company. Antique.
