Very Rare Antique E. Allen .22rf Center Hammer Single Shot Deringer
.22rf Single Shot Pistol by Ethan Allen circa 1860. SN. 261 Total quantity produced very low making this model very rare to find. 3” barrel pivots to the right for loading , automatic shell extraction, spur trigger and bird’s head rosewood grips. Flat Left side barrel marking:

Condition: .32 RF , 3” part round , part octagon barrel with a very lightly oxidized bore showing minor pitting and strong rifling . The metal surfaces of this revolver are mixed with a nice grey gun-metal patina with evenly distributed minor surface pitting. Barrel marking remain clear and legible.
The original smooth birds head rosewood grips show a nice tight fitting and are in excellent condition with just a few minor handling marks. Mechanically the action works very well in half and full-cock position with a strong hammer spring. Gun is equipped with an extractor and a small German silver post
