Description:
Colt's Pocket Model of 1848, or the "Baby Dragoon" was one of several small frame percussion revolvers developed by Colt before the United States Civil War. Distinct for its features that mirror the earlier dragoon pistols, such as the square backed trigger guard and round cylinder stops. This one is in surprising condition, still retaining some of the original bluing on the barrel as well as much of the original silver plating on the grip frame. Condition of the lockwork is good as well, easily cycling through chamber, though the bore is somewhat corroded from the use of black powder. This pistol also comes with a very good condition wooden case and accessories.
