Description:
This is a very nice Winchester Model 1892 sporting rifle, made in 1911 according to the Winchester Collectors resource. It has a crescent butt, full 24" octogon barrel and full magazine. It is chambered for the .32 WCF ( 32-20 ) and it has a very nice , clean, bright sharp bore. There are just a few, very minor marks in the rifling, overall it is about a 8.5 -9/10 - definitely nice and will be an accurate shooter. The rifle is in very high original condition. the blueing on the receiver shows some flaking, typical of that era of Winchester blue. The hammer and lever show faint traces of case colors - this was about the last year that you see color case on 1892 parts - shortly after this all parts were blued. The barrel and mag tube retain better than 90% of blueing, with sharp corners and lettering. The wood is solid, unsanded, proud of the metal, with light scattered marks, and impressions. The sights are very nice Lyman rear tang, a Winchester mid barrel, and a folding globe front. Overall a great looking little rifle. ***** Must ship to a FFL, C&R okay.
