Purdey 12 gauge. Serial 10282 (3x: barrels, tang, latch) is a bar-in-wood hammer gun with 28-inch barrels (F/F, 2.75-inch, extractor). Features include scroll engraving and outstanding walnut (wrap checkering, drop points, straight grip and leather-wrapped pad). DIMENSIONS: Weight is 6.6 pounds. Length-of-pull is 15.1 inches, drops are 1.75 and 2.25 inches, and the cast off is approximately .40-inch. CONDITION: Bores are bright. Barrels are on face and ring properly. Lever rests just right of center. Mechanics operate properly. Barrel blue is approximately 60 percent with thinning and browning. Colors have silvered to approximately 20 percent. Guard and lower tang have silvered. Wood is approximately 70 percent. CASE: With serialed loading information sheet, the leather case is in poor condition but quite solid. Loading tools, cleaning tools, extra strikers/springs (two sets) and serialed screw are present. The price is firm and layaway is available. $6,500 plus shipping.
