The Smith & Wesson Military & Police .38 S&W Special Double Action Revolver was introduced 1899 and has been in production for over a century. This revolver is a hard to find post-World War Two Military & Police revolver, often referred to as the transition Military & Police. It featured the pre-WWII long action, 5-screw frame, large ejector knob and Smith & Wesson standard blue finish. At some point in time the Magna stocks were replaced with post 1967 stocks. The action is well timed, tight with very little cylinder end shake. This would be a great home personal defense revolver. Manufactured between 1946 and 1948. .38 Special
