Description:
This is an overall very good condition Pedersoli 1859 Berdan Sharps topped with a TASCO 4X15 brass scope with excellent optics. Examination of the action and bore make me think it was set up for reenacting with very little firing. The underside of scope above nipple shows verdigris, probably from snapping musket caps. The factory rear and front sights have been removed. If desired, a new rear sight is easily installed and a new barleycorn front sight can be silver soldered on. The bluing and case colors are in very good condition, with minimal wear. The stocks have only minor scratches. There are three streaks on right side of buttstock, possibly from a cleaning solution. A light oiling will take care of that. There is a small chip out of the right side of forestock at receiver. Set rear trigger to cock. This setup closely resembles an example in the Berdan issued serial number range with long Malcolm scope. See link below. Really cool rifle for Civil War snipers. $2000 + Shipping.
