Original Civil War Era US 1862 Zouave Remington Rolling Block Rifle Sword Bayonet w/Leather Scabbard - Original - Very NICE Condition - RARE
Up for sale is an Original Civil War Era US 1862 Zouave Remington Rolling Block Rifle Sword Bayonet w/Leather Scabbard. The blade is bright with a minor spot of surface pitting near the handle. The blade has a "S" marking at the base of the blade and also on handle, there is also a "C" on handle as well, see photos. The blade has some minor discoloration spots. No evidence of sharpening of the blade. It has a brass handle with patina finish. The handle is marked "B.H." on the top edge. The bayonet is approximately 25" overall length, with a 20 3/8" blade. The scabbard has a leather body with a brass throat and tip. No rips or tears in the leather. No cracking or crazing of the leather. There is an "C" stamped on the frog button.
