If you are seeking perfection in an American made shotgun, this A.H. Fox DE grade manufactured by Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company, "C.S.M.C.", fits the bill nicely. It was special ordered on December 29, 2006, manufactured and completed in 2007. A combination of the legendary Ansley H. Fox design and modern manufacturing processes by CSMC resulted in this very attractive and functional shotgun. A.H. Fox guns were stated as being "The Finest Gun in the World" because of use of superior materials, a strong lock system and elegant engraving. This Fox was made with the finest materials. It features a select English style straight grip walnut stock, Cromax Fluid Steel barrels that are tipped with a single ivory bead front sight. The receiver which was engraved by Jere Davison features flushing grouse on the right side, flushing woodcock on the left side and a setter pointing a covey of flushing quail on the underside. The select walnut stock has very fine and attractive checkering and a skeleton butt plate. It has gold plated double triggers and a splinter forend. The metal to wood finish is superb. The gun weighs in at 5 pounds 10 ounces and sports 29 inch barrels. The right barrel is choked improved cylinder and the left barrel is choked modified. This would be a valuable asset to your collection and/or a first class piece to use in pursuing your favorite upland game. A gun as such, if it were ordered today would cost in excess of 27K. This gun is "New Old Stock" having never been fired.
