33102- BRITISH FLINTLOCK BRASS BARREL BLUNDERBUSS SIGNED SMITH CIRCA LATE 1700’S. 30” o/a with 14” barrel with 1 ¼” bore width at muzzle. Original flint not reconverted with the original lock parts. Lock plate signed “SMITH”. Barrel with Birmingham proofs at left breech. Top pf barrel with Irish Constabulary stamp ‘WA 822”. Brass mounts with brass trigger guard having an Ordnance “Bomb” finial. Probably intended for use by Royal Irish troops or the Constabulary. Very good overall with original finish on wood and nice dark patina on metal. Moderate wear overall with barrel pin hole worn and oversize. Saddle ring added to left rear of butt. Working order. Good bore. Original metal ramrod. $3500
