Description:
WWII era shipped Colt Official Police with 6" heavy barrel, original box, and Archive Letter. This revolver remains in very high condition. The original finish still retains all of its deep dark shine throughout. All of the leading edges are sharp and the grip straps are exceptional. Overall the finish rates are very conservative 98%. The cylinder face, recoil shield, and forcing cone are very clean. The action is crisp, the lock up is tight, and the bore is mirror bright with strong lands and grooves. The factory grips are exceptional with sharp checkers throughout. The original serial number matching box is included but please note there is some damage and tape repair. A Colt Archive Letter is also included showing a manufacturing and shipping date of May 1942 to the American Steel & Wire Company, who played a a vital role in the "Arsenal of Democracy", producing steel and wire, for ships, tanks, and other military hardware during the war years.
