Description:

Scarce Commercial "P" prefix serial range K31 rifle with top grade Grunig & Elmiger front and rear diopter sights, the latter with an orange insert. Standard tangent sight graduated 1-15. The left side of the receiver, specially recessed for the rear sight, is marked with a “P” commercial prefix; the right side of the beautifully grained buttstock having no military acceptance. Matching numbers on the receiver, barrel, bolt, and the magazine. Original thick varnish finish on beautifully grained walnut stock. Heavy leather sling. Stickers on handguard referencing a match in Zurich; another referencing the 225th anniversary of the match in Langnau.

Condition:

At least 98% bright original finish, a mix between the salt blued barrel with in-the-white crown, matte finished receiver with deeply imprinted Swiss Cross-in-Shield, and the rust blued trigger guard and magazine. Most of the wear ascribed to the light freckled dusting on the bottom of the magazine, lower surface of the bolt arm, and the trigger guard loop and its rear extension. Comparable condition stock with a scattering of light handling marks as one would expect in a target rifle that has served in several competitions. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics.
