Description:
Priviate collector offering a cased David McKay Brown over and under 20 bore ejector gun with 28” file-cut solid rib barrels. Gun is #1 of a pair that owner has decided to split. Single mechanical non-selective trigger, round bar trigger plate action, non-auto safety, single brass front bead, gold inlaid “SAFE” ahead of the DMB style safety catch, maker’s name engraved in banners on both sides, Anson push button forend release, and a blank gold oval. Gun is choked .007 (1/4-impr cyl) and .008 (1/4-impr cyl.) The gun was completed and proofed in London in 1998 with 2 3/4" chambers having a proof bore 15.6mm (0.615") with current bore diamter of 0,617" in both barrels. Receiver is engraved and signed by Dave Hudson with medium scroll over entire receiver that remains sharp as new. Case color hardened receiver remains with 98% finish. Barrel black and furniture are in excellent condition with 100% finish intact. Well figured exhibition walnut stock with prince of wales grip and checkered bone butt plate, 14 3/8 LOP, DAC 1 5/8", DAH 2 3/8". Wood and checkering remain in over all excellent condition. Top lever slightly right of center, barrels lock-up tight on face and ejectors in time.
