The Barrett MRAD (Multi-role Adaptive Design) is a highly modular, bolt-action precision rifle. Its design offers the user quick barrel configuration changes easily and quickly with the use of a single tool. The enclosed polymer guide allows the bolt a smooth, reliable ride even in harsh environments where traditional designs can bind. The MRAD has a high degree of field serviceability with a trigger group that can be removed from the lower receiver with no tools. The adjustable height cheek piece can be adapted to suit individual users and requires no tools. The safety lever, with a short 45° throw, can be intalled to present on either side of the rifle based on preference. Length of pull is easily adjusted by pressing a button on top of the stock while the buttstock locking mechanism engages two shafts allowing it to withstand military drop tests. The folding stock has a beefy hinge and latch set up that unlocks to fold and protect the bolt hadle with a single button press.
