Description:
Serial #4592434, .30 Carbine, 18" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a handsome, post-war bayonet lug-equipped carbine that has a "ROCK-OLA"-marked receiver which is mated to a "ROCK-OLA" marked barrel. Parts from various WW2 manufacturers are fitted: ".O.U. (in circle)" slide; flat "AI" bolt; "RO-Q" recoil plate; "INLAND" trigger housing; "B/R (in circle)" hammer; "RI" sear; "JM" barrel band with bayonet lug; "EI" magazine release; and "H (in shield)" milled adjustable rear sight. The metal retains 85-90% of a very nice armory reapplied parkerized finish, that has faded to gray at the muzzle, along the high and exposed edges, as well as along the bearing surfaces of the bolt and raceway. The carbine is outfitted with a "Q-RMC" walnut stock and "SJ" two-rivet handguard set that has minor handling marks and blemishes scattered about the reapplied military oil finish. The letters "MRC" were stamped into the pistol grip on the right side (possibly a previous owner’s initials). A single "C-B" marked wartime magazine is included, and a "C-Tip" olive drab canvas sling is fitted. This is a great looking M1 Carbine, based on a desirable Rock-Ola receiver and barrel, and is in very good-fine condition overall. FFL or C&R;
