Description:
Manufactured in St. Joseph, Missouri, this shotgun features a box lock action, 20 gauge, 26 inch barrel with a solid rib and single brass bead front sight, 3 inch chambers, choked modified/cylinder and ejectors. "HATFIElLD" marked casehardened action with single trigger and tang safety/selector. Nicely figured checkered straight grip stock with solid recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 inches. Comes with a takedown case with green felt lining and Hatfield paper label on the inside of the lid. Also come with brass snap caps, and oiler. Research shows that these guns were made in Italy for Hatfield, based in Missouri. Only the action, barrels, and forearm metal was made in Italy. Guns were shipped to Hatfield in Missouri, possibly in the mid 70's, where they were stocked with a straight grip in Birdseye maple and checkered along with forearm, and finish applied. Overall very good condition. Gun appears to not have been shot much as seen from lack of wear on breech face.Stock and forearm sound showing no cracks or repairs. Has a very few minor handling marks.Metal and blue are very good showing no wear. Has a few marks on right side barrel, and slight thiining at muzzle. Weight is approximately 7 pounds. Would make a great upland bird gun. No sales to California or where prohibited.
