Post-2008 production models reflect Winchester’s modern manufacturing standards while retaining the legendary controlled-round feed system prized for reliability and safety. The Extreme Hunter variant is designed for rugged field use, combining lightweight materials, weather resistance, and precision accuracy for serious hunters. Description This post-2008 Winchester Model 70 Extreme Hunter is presented in like-new condition, complete with its original factory box. The rifle features a RealTree Excape camouflage stock paired with a 22-inch fluted and threaded barrel with shiny bore and good rifling, and finished in Flat Dark Earth (FDE), offering both durability and a modern appearance. The controlled-round feed bolt action operates smoothly and locks up tightly. The bolt is factory jeweled, and the three-position on-bolt safety functions correctly. Feeding is from an internal magazine with a hinged floor plate, maintaining the classic Model 70 configuration. Mounted on the rifle is a Leupold VX-5HD 3–15x44 riflescope, equipped with a 30mm tube, side focus, CDS ZL2 elevation dial, and Duplex reticle. The scope includes lens covers, is secured with Leupold rings, and comes with its original box, making this a complete and well-matched setup. The rifle is fitted with a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad and has a length of pull of 13 5/8 inches, providing comfortable handling. No handling marks or wear are observed on the rifle or optic.
