Description:
.54 cal, NVSN, 30 inch barrel, armory blue barrel, brass furniture, case color lock plate, walnut stock, barrel sight dove tail empty, appears to have had a long distance sight, front sight is very tall replacement, dated 1855, "STEEL" on left side of barrel, inspector's mark and "US" on barrel.
Condition: Excellent bore, 75% blue-brown barrel finish, brass was cleaned at one time but has aged back well, excellent wood has extra coat of finish, cartouche still visible, steel ram rod, shadows of silvery case color on lock plate, excellent mechanically, excellent marks.
