"Serial No. 3524a, manufactured in 1937, chambered in 8mm Mauser with a 24"" round barrel. The bore shows oxidation in the grooves, though rifling remains strong. Serial numbers are non-matching. The receiver bears Weimar-era pre-war proof marks, and the metal finish has aged to a dull military tone, with the bolt and extractor exhibiting a characteristic plum coloration. The stock shows light handling impressions consistent with service use. This rifle is not import marked and was refinished at some point, presenting as an honest, well-used pre-war K98. Action is smooth and functions correctly.
