U.S. Remington Model 1903A3 rifle, serial number 3,905,xxx, placing manufacture in late WWII production (1943). The rifle is fitted with a correct Remington RA 8?43 barrel, consistent with wartime assembly and inspection.
The rifle remains in excellent collector condition, retaining strong original finish on the metal components with sharp, legible markings throughout. The bore is bright with strong rifling.
The stock is a correct proofed U.S. military stock, displaying a clear circled “P” firing proof and proper WWII?era inspection characteristics. Wood shows only light handling marks consistent with careful storage and preservation, with no cracks, sanding, or refinishing observed.
Included is an authentic U.S. leather sling, correctly marked “1918 J.B.”, adding period-correct appeal and enhancing the rifle’s historical completeness.
This example represents a well?preserved, correct WWII Remington 03A3, suitable for an advanced U.S. martial arms collection.
