Hyper rare Smith & Wesson Model 50 with the ultra-rare Fitzgearld configuration “Mob Gun”. Designed to come out of the overcoat quickly or discharged from inside the overcoat while wearing gloves. You can find a lot of literature on the internet tracking back to the “Godfather” of this design John Henry Fitzgearld. These are extremely rare and pursued by the collector community. One example of notoriety is from The television series Blue Bloods, the character of NYPD Commissioner Frank Reagan (portrayed by Tom Selleck) carries a Fitz Special as his standard duty weapon. It was given to him by his father Henry, a retired NYPD Commissioner, who used it during his career; he had in turn received it from his late father, who had also served in the force. These were prized by both sides of the law. Mobsters had a special affinity for the “Fitzgearld” weapon. The condition is excellent with 99 % of bluing intact and features the early “flat side-latch” 6 shot 38 special. Comes with the original concealment holster it was carried. Own a select piece of history that may have been on either side of the law! To complete the transaction, we will need a copy of your FFL of choice for shipping purposes.
