Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are Brit proud to offer this darling cased revolver by Griffiths and Worsley. Built on a brass frame, it becomes obvious that this fancy wheel gun has seen very little use. The delicate English engraving remains sharp and clear. The deeply checkered grips are also in great condition. Likely made in the 1860's, she is chambered in .30 rimfire short. Included in this ensemble are 12 rounds, as well as an ivory handled screwdriver, box key, and brass oil bottle. All of these are contained in a nifty English lined case, in quite good condition. Everyone who has examined this dainty revolver walks away very impressed. The design of the action is somewhat unusual. The transverse locking screw is loosened, then the base pin can be slid forward, freeing the cylinder from the frame. A secondary screw can be removed, allowing the base pin to slide out of the frame, where it can be used to extract empties from the cylinder. There is an ingenious safety behind the hammer, which slides forward into a notch in the hammer when it is in the safety position. When locked, the hammer cannot move in either direction, rendering the revolver quite safe. The bore of the 2 ¾ inch barrel is quite good, and it has the early style deep rifling. If you have been looking for the right English gun to collect, or for investment, but want one that nobody else has, then look no further.
