Description:
This KONGSBERG M1914 is a Norwegian licensed Colt manufactured in late 1945. It may be late war or post war as records are currently unavailable in the U.S. Many were procured and used by the Nazi SS during it war.
The M1914 is a very interesting Colt M-1911 variation. The most obvious difference is the slide release levers “dog leg”. In my opinion a nice improvement and I find it surprising that no aftermarket suppliers are making one for the Colt Government Models.
The other interesting thing is the many matching serial numbers. The pistols serial number is on the Frame, it is also marked on the: Slide, Slide release lever, Trigger, Safety, Grip safety, and Barrel bottom.
This particular pistol was manufactured as serial number 31255 and each part was later over stamped 31254. Likely a duplicate serial number manufacturing error.
This pistol retains 99% of its original phosphate finish with the only the slightest wear on the high edges. The bolt face shows the same finish with no discoloration from primer ignition, perhaps un-fired. The action is very tight and the original numbered barrel is bright and shiny.
These pistols are a rare find and a great addition to your Colt collection.

RETURNS:
Returns must be made within 3 days of receipt. They must be received in exactly the same condition with no parts exchanged. If it has been altered, damaged, or fired, a refund will not be made.
