Description:
Description:
Feather Weight Prussian Charles Daly (12 ga.) Grade 135 Serial No. 1696 Circa 1907
Heinrich A. Lindner gun imported by Schoverling, Gales & Daly for the American market.
Very nice Daly, and a seldom encountered true "Feather Weight" no hidden repairs, tight on face......no welding on the hook, original nice horn buttplate, barrels ring beautifully.
Notice the water tables are unmarred by amateur takedown and assembly. The re-rust blued barrels
look just like the original finished barrels. Small blemishes on the side of left barrel, for the perfectionist,
the left barrel could be lightly polished and rust blued.  There's an individual in Enid, Ok. who does
premium work.
Very well cared for by owner who took pride in his Daly.
Also, note the wonderfull stock dimentions with drop at the heel of 2 5/8"!  I shot grouse and woodcock
in Northern Minnesota with Ross Munson....this was a favorite gun.

Barrel and stock measurements, 26" barrels, and it still has the original 2 5/8" chambers!!!!!!! The "EXPERTS" haven't
had their hands on this gun and cobbled up the chambers yet.  Chokes L/R .023/003"  1 5/8" DAC 2 5/8" DAH
Note the wood inlay inthe buttstock....these are done when the stock was made. When the Daly
stockmakers discovered a void in the wood, they would fit an inlay rather than discard it and start over.
LOP 14" weight 5lbs 11 oz.
Condition: Excellent with bright bores and re-rust blued barrels.
No repairs, buffing or sanding to wood, other than reblacking of barrels.
I'm a long time collector and age requires some reduction of my guns.
