Description: Near Mint S&W 3rd Model Hand Ejector .32 Revolver C.1930s Offered here for sale is a fine and classic collectible Smith & Wesson revolver. This Smith & Wesson .32-caliber Hand Ejector with serial number 323979  is a .32 Hand Ejector Third Model The Third Model .32 Hand Ejectors were produced on the small I-frame with a six-shot cylinder and are chambered for .32 S&W Long. This specimen has a  4″ barrel . These revolvers are “pre” named model Smith & Wesson revolvers because they were made before the company began stamping model numbers (that practice began in the late 1950s). The Third Model .32 Hand Ejectors are generally accepted to have serial numbers from roughly 263,001 to 536,684 and were manufactured from about 1917 to 1942. This SN 323979  was very likely made in the 1920s or early 1930s.  It’s chambered in .32 S&W Long. It has a hand ejector with a swing-out cylinder, first introduced in 1896 and evolved through early models into the Third Model by about 1917. This makes it a great collectible example of Smith & Wesson’s early swing-out cylinder revolvers and a solid representative of the small .32 Hand Ejector line that was highly popular in the first half of the 20th century  .
