Description:
From my research, and help from the wonderful people at Weatherby, this looks to be a very early Mark V Varmintmaster. These were made by JP Sauer in W, Germany between 1964 and 1973. Per Weatherby, the first German made Varmintmasters started with serial number 1000 but were supposed to have an S prefix. This rifle has no prefix and was the 121st rifle off the line.
