Merkel Model 360 SL .410 Gauge Side-by-Side Shotgun
Double trigger configuration, choked Modified/Full. This is an estate gun. There is approximately 4 inches of surface rust on the left side of the barrel, which is reflected in the price.
The Merkel 360 SL is a high-grade German sidelock shotgun, originally carrying a $14,000 list price when new. This example is beautiful, featuring fully engraved sidelocks and gorgeous walnut wood.
The surface rust would not bother many shooters and can be refinished to near-new condition, though a strict collector may prefer original finish. Please see photos of the barrel for detail.
